October 29, 2011, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. All welcome!
11am – 4pm Saturday 29th October. Advice Tea Room open all day. Cook-Offs take place at 12pm and 2pm. Newport Memorial Hall.
The Low Carbon Cook-Off is a project from Eco Centre Wales that looks at the environmental impacts of our food choices in a fun and engaging way: with a good dollop of healthy competition. Teams will compete head-to-head, using ingredients from our pantry, to create a winning dish that is good for our environment as well as our stomachs. Find out what Low Carbon Cooking means and have fun whilst we discuss the issues. Which team will have what it takes to win the Low Carbon Crown? More information is available at Eco Centre Wales presents Low Carbon Cook-Off and Energy Advice Tea Room. For more information: http://www.ecocentre.org.uk/en/low-carbon-cook-off
Although the Low Carbon Cook-Offs are the main events for the day, we will also be providing energy efficiency and renewable advice and there will be activities for kids and tea and coffee all day.
